Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)

The Highest Level of Water Purification — Complete Contaminant Degradation

What is Advanced Oxidation?

Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) represents the most powerful water treatment technology available today. By combining UV light with ozone or hydrogen peroxide, AOP systems generate hydroxyl radicals (•OH) — the strongest oxidizing agents in water treatment, with an oxidation potential of 2.8V.

Hydroxyl radicals are capable of degrading virtually any organic compound in water, including persistent pollutants, pharmaceutical residues, pesticides, and industrial contaminants that resist conventional treatment methods. The end products are simply carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O), making AOP one of the cleanest and most complete water purification technologies available.

How it Works

Step 1
Ozone Generation

High-purity ozone is generated on-site using PSA oxygen supply and corona discharge technology, then injected into the water stream.

Step 2
UV Activation

The ozone-saturated water enters the UV reactor, where ultraviolet light breaks down the ozone molecules, triggering the formation of hydroxyl radicals (•OH).

Step 3
Hydroxyl Radical Oxidation

The hydroxyl radicals instantly attack and decompose organic molecules at the molecular level. With a reaction time measured in microseconds, •OH radicals break carbon bonds and fully mineralize contaminants into CO₂ and H₂O.

Step 4
Complete Treatment

Treated water exits the system free of organic contaminants, with no chemical residuals. Any remaining ozone is neutralized by the destruct unit, and the PLC control system monitors the entire process in real time.

KEY ADVANTAGES

Advantage
Description

Highest Oxidation Power

Hydroxyl radicals at 2.8V are the strongest oxidizers available in water treatment — 1.35 times stronger than ozone alone.

Complete Contaminant Degradation

Capable of fully mineralizing persistent organic pollutants, pharmaceutical residues, pesticides, and endocrine disruptors.

Clean End Products

The only byproducts are carbon dioxide and water — no harmful residuals or secondary pollutants.

Micropollutant Removal

Effective against trace contaminants at parts-per-billion levels that pass through conventional treatment systems.

Automated Operation

PLC + HMI control cabinets provide fully automated system management with real-time monitoring and data logging.

Scalable Design

Available in configurations from 12 to 110 m³/h for municipal and industrial applications, plus dedicated pool systems for volumes up to 900 m³.

Application

  • Municipal drinking water — removal of taste, odor, and micropollutants
  • Swimming pools and water parks — combined disinfection and water quality (CDO3 series)
  • Industrial wastewater — degradation of persistent organic compounds
  • Groundwater remediation — treatment of contaminated source water
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing — destruction of active pharmaceutical ingredients in effluent
  • Reuse and reclamation — polishing treated wastewater for reuse applications
